House-made Dog Menu now available at four-time Beast of the Bay award-winning Half Moon Bay Brewing Company! While dog-friendly restaurants and patio seating for pups are on the rise throughout the Bay Area, there’s only one restaurant that we know of where Rover gets his own specially crafted doggie-menu. The award-winning craft beer isn’t the only draw at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Four-time winners of Bay Woof’s “Beast of the Bay” award for Most Dog-Friendly Restaurant in the Bay Area, this Coastside destination welcomes four-legged guests as warmly as their human friends. This summer, in celebration of their Bay Woof awards and 15th Anniversary on the Coastside, the Brewing Company is rolling out another treat – a dedicated Dog Menu. Chef Frederico Godinez is known for making his very popular dog bones on-site, but now local pooches are even more in luck: Chef has decided to take the restaurant’s dog-friendliness to the next level.
Everything on the new dog menu is carefully crafted with natural ingredients to ensure happy and healthy pups that are full of energy. With every item made in-house daily, the menu consists of homemade Doggie Chili, featuring chicken, kidney beans, black beans, carrots and tomatoes, and is served warm. The Meatballs are made from ground beef, garbanzo beans, black beans, carrots, wheat flour and milk. Perhaps the most fun item of all is the Chicken Jerky, which will keep pups busy while their humans enjoy the restaurant’s sustainable seafood and ice-cold beer on the heated, dog-friendly patio overlooking Pillar Point Harbor. Of course, their famous Mavericks Bones are always on the menu, and are hand-crafted using spent grains, flour, peanut butter and eggs. So bring your pup in for dinner – he won’t just have to pant at your feet hoping you’ll drop a scrap from your meal. At Half Moon Bay Brewing, Rover gets his own meal created just for him.
The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company isn’t just offering special dog date night options, they continue to support important community animal efforts. They’ve always been known for their community efforts and fundraising, and another way they show their love for our four-legged friends is by hosting a “Going to the Dogs” fundraiser every spring to benefit the Peninsula Humane Society and the SPCA. Keep an eye out for this fundraiser every April, which features professional dog portraits, pet adoptions and live music, with a side of home-made dog treats, seasonal house-brewed beers, and fresh coastal cuisine.
The family-friendly, come-as-you-are atmosphere at the Brewing Company has made it a favorite destination in the Bay Area for locals and visitors alike since opening in 2000. Located at 390 Capistrano Road in Half Moon Bay, California, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is open seven days a week. To book a reservation, please call 650-728- BREW (2739) or visit OpenTable.com.
