San Francisco-based “The Daily Puglet” is one of the best dog blogs there is – no snarfles about it! Creator Amanda Bradshaw gave us permission to reprint a recent post regarding the high cost of “car juice.” The first one’s free, but beware: Checking in with the Puglet could become a daily habit.
Hey Libya!
So, I usually don’t care a whole lot about human stuff. Unless it’s really bad. Like a tsunami. Or I can eat it. Like bacon. But has anyone else noticed the price of car juice? I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but here in San Francisco it’s kinda insane.
And why do I care how much it costs to feed the car? Because the more money Mazda eats, the less money there is to buy me things. Things like cookies and bull penises and adventures in far away places.
Not cool.
Yesterday it cost $52 to feed Mazda. Do you have any freaking idea how many cookies you can probably buy with $52? I don’t know exactly how many, but I’m sure it’s a lot.
I heard the radio man say it’s Libya’s fault. I don’t know who this Libya person is or what they’re doing to make car juice so expensive. But I want them to stop it. Like, now.
Libya, if you’re reading this – can you please stop messing with our car juice? Please?? I’ll give you a cookie.

Holy tamales, Puglet! That is A LOT of monies! Maybe you can ask Mazda if it would mind going on a little diet and lay off the juice a bit so there is cookie monies left for you and Dutch. Let’s write a letter to this Libya person, too. Maybe he doesn’t really understand how vital it is to have cookie and bull penis monies. I think we should tell him. Snorts and snarfles, Bella
Hi Puglet. Gas here in WV is $3.89 a gallon. Crazy. And my mom is driving a truck and I keep hearing her talk about getting rid of it, which makes me sad because we go on many road trips in that truck and camping too. Maybe we should join together, all Pugs as one, and ask Libya to just be nice, and stop messing w/ the car juice. Talk to you soon. Love and snarfles, Sadie Pug
Grrr…. My mom’s car (yes, I said mom) is one of those high-bred thingys so she doesn’t have to feed it as often. Apparently, it was sick and was eating more than it should. With the rising price of car juice she had to take it to the vet and they put in a new ginormous part that fixed its appetite. It cost a lot to fix, but she hopes the savings in juice will pay off. She promises she’ll keep me in food and treats though!! Noodle
Dear Puglet, We have a Runner and it cost us 75 cookies to feed it over the weekend, in Denver, so I’ll let my human know that we need to be unhappy about Libya too! Our human said she misses her Jetta. I don’t know who this Jetta is, but I think I might be glad Jetta isn’t here to have to share cookies with. Our human is contemplating giving up a shoe habit so we can still afford cookies. She must love us a LOT! Thanks for highlighting this very important pug issue! XOXO, Coco
