Red poodles are popular in China but rushed breeding to keep up with demand has resulted in more dogs being born with birth defects.

There have been at least two dog celebrities whose characters were named Fang. Hagrid’s dog in the Harry Potter movies, which was a Neapolitan Mastiff (played by Hugo, Bully, Bella, Vito, Luigi, Monkey, and Uno). The other is a dog character on the TV show “Get Smart” (the Briard’s real name was Red).

Most movie fans are aware that John Wayne was always known as “the Duke,” a nickname he acquired in childhood. “Duke” was his dog who accompanied him everywhere he went.
