Furry Friends Rescue’s Woofstock 2010

A woofing good time was had by all at Furry Friends Rescue’s Woofstock 2010, held on October 9 at Fremont’s Central Park.

In addition to a fund-raising walk, festivities of the day included an adoption showcase by local shelters and rescue groups, canine contests like “prettiest flower child” and “coolest hippie,” a vegetarian lunch, vendor booths, and plenty of dogs and their humans mingling happily amidst it all.

Prizes were awarded to top pledge-getters; the first place winner raised $2,820! Proceeds of the Tail Waggin’ Walk will support FFR’s rescue efforts and essential programs at Tri-City Animal Shelter and Hayward Animals Shelter. Planning is already underway for Woofstock 2011.
