ABOUT THE COVER: January’s cover dog is M Rocket’s Stella, one of two hairy office mates who’s been clamoring for her own cover debut. Stella was a feral street dog in Taiwan before being adopted from Rocket Dog Rescue in 2008, and enjoys hearing her name yelled from across the field as though she were in an old Tennessee Williams play. Additionally, she loves to climb trees, wreak havoc, and stir up trouble whenever possible. Regular, ongoing training saved her life, and ours.
Bay Woof is a free monthly newspaper for San Francisco Bay Area dog lovers.
Our mission is to be the voice of the local dog community and an essential resource for people who love their pets – the wonderfully dense and diverse population of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is available at vet clinics, pet stores, and other dog friendly locations near you. We’ll be sharing our love of dogs as we bring you the best of the Bay’s canine news and views, each and every month.
